Job Description
Block is seeking an exceptional paralegal to support our international corporate governance. You will help provide organizational and substantive support to the attorneys on the corporate team, will build new systems and procedures, and will work closely with a variety of partners internally and externally. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and work on cutting-edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment. We are looking for a highly adaptable, organized and self-motivated individual who can handle fast-paced projects independently.
You Will:

  • Coordinate and prepare Block international subsidiary board and board committee meetings and pre-read deliverables
  • Monitor and manage annual filings for our international subsidiaries and assist with domestic entities.
  • Help manage important transaction documents, including coordinating the review and execution of intercompany agreements
  • Manage corporate records and help coordinate with finance and regulatory teams on various requests in connection with our periodic filings and regulatory examinations
  • Manage special corporate projects, including new entity formation
  • Help with the filing of registrations and similar documents with government agencies
  • Work with our internal business, counsel, finance and compliance teams, as well as with external advisors and experts
  • Manage projects effectively, with a team-oriented approach


Qualifications
You Have:

  • At least 3 years of paralegal/legal project management experience
  • In-house international paralegal experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working with Diligent
  • Experience working independently with limited supervision
  • Experience with participating in and sometimes leading large, cross functional initiatives.
