Position Summary
University IT (UIT) AVT Solutions team, part of the Business Affairs organization at Stanford University, is dedicated to delivering world-class service and technological solutions to advance research, teaching and learning, administration, and healthcare. Stanford University is expanding its Audio/Video (A/V) services, and we are looking for an AV Logistic Specialist who assist in the procurement, inventory, and deployment of AV services.

This position reports to the Director of UIT AVT Solutions. The responsibilities center around procurement, inventory gatekeeping, staging and driving the RMA processes.

The expected pay range for this position is $94,000 to $110,00 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.

Core Responsibilities

    • Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
    • Plan and coordinate delivery schedules
    • Negotiate contracts with transportation providers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
    • Monitor the performance of logistics partners and carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Implement and maintain a min/max supply inventory system.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and will-call transactions.
    • Work effectively with campus cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve field failures on product through manufacture and suppliers RMA processes.
    • Bench Test AV equipment for basic functional acceptance before project deployments.
    • Provide weekly status project updates for AV Project Managers

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
    • In-depth experience in the support of large-scale AV projects
    • Experience coordinating with AV vendors and integrators on installation activities.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

Desired Skills

    • Experience with CRM solutions such as D-tools
    • Demonstrated ability managing assigned projects, events, or technical tasks in a professional work environment or academic setting.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Physical Qualifications

    • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
    • Frequently sitting, grasping lightly/fine manipulation
    • Occasionally stand, walk, kneel, and/or crawl
    • Rarely climb e.g., ladders, scaffolds, twist, bend stoop, squat, reach or work above shoulders; lift, carry, push, pull objects that weigh up to or more 60 pounds.
    • Must be able to occasionally crawl into tight spaces.
