Job Description

Are you a Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester that is excited to support the Analysis, Debrief, and Test (ADT) Branch for the Joint Simulation Environment? Then come aboard AMERICAN SYSTEMS as our next SW QA Analyst and Tester, Senior. As a SW QA Analyst and Tester, Senior you will:

A week in the life of a QA Analyst and Tester, Senior:

  • Join an engaged, 100% employee-owned company.
  • Lead the Software Product Test team for the Analysis, Debrief, and Test (ADT) branch. You will be testing software for an advanced synthetic training environment. This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats. You will support software development, software integration, testing, customer training and demonstrations.
  • Have experience with scripting, database, and programming languages such as C++.
  • Install and run regression tests on a new JSF Technical Baseline (JTB) product test builds.
  • Test a variety of Jira issues from new feature implementation to bug fixes to database queries.
  • Document test results discovered issues in Jira.
  • Track test progress throughout the agile development process and report status to the JTB Integration Lead and JTB Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with JTB software developers and subject matter experts during test and training sessions.
  • Create new test procedures documents to validate new requirements.
  • Communicate within a large team to verify correct procedures and software issue diagnosis.
  • Run extensive regression tests when software reaches Release Candidate (RC) phrase

Job Requirements

  • Degree: BS/BA degree in Engineering Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or Engineering. Experience and/or training in a high-level programming language such as C++ and MATLAB.
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 10-year experience with testing/developing software products and leading teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Have minimum 4-year experience leading a software testing team using Agile & Waterfall Development Methodologies.
  • Have minimum 4-year experience with testing/developing software products.
