This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
DutiesGeneral Description of
Assigned Duties:
The incumbent serves as a staff clinical psychologist for the outpatient psychiatry services at the WJB Dorn VAMC, associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics, or using Tele-Work or Tele-Mental Health processes.
The incumbent is delegated the responsibility and authority for ensuring local planning and coordination of mental health care and support to Veterans who are at high risk for suicide.
The incumbent assists the medical center administration and staff with improving identification of Veterans at risk for suicide and promotes early access to mental health care.
The SPC is the subject matter expert and point of contact for any suicide related matters.The incumbent is responsible for program development, implementation, follow-through and ongoing review of the entire Suicide Prevention Program for Dorn VAMC and the surrounding CBOC's.
