What is the job about?

Grundfos Pumps Company is seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to join its Customer Service Support. The Service Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling workshops and on-site (pump) repair requests from customers by telephone and in writing. They will ensure scheduling procedures are followed including effective communications across teams to ensure materials are ordered and the required technicians are planned. Applying good professional knowledge to build trust with customers, employees, partners, and contractors is key along with providing the necessary support in the coordination and planning of service operations and site visits. The Service Coordinator will collaborate with the Service Delivery manager, Service Coordinators and members of the Quality, Operations, Sales and Customer Service Teams. This position reports directly to the Head of Service Delivery Support West USA & Canada and will operate on a hybrid work schedule 3 days in the Hayward, CA facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Creation of work orders for service technicians and service partners, processing in SAP CS.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to track and coordinate jobs with their technicians
  • Determine the correct parts with Service Sales and technicians for Service Quotations.
  • Responsible for identifying / assessing an incoming request from a customer to set forth the correct Service support actions
  • Work cross-functionally on service requests regarding technical support
  • Provide both phone and email support to communicate with both internal and external customers
  • Reports matters related to Safety, Health and Environment.
  • Works in accordance with and ensures required HSE behavior (ISO 14001 and VCA .)

Your background

We imagine that you have:

  • Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years' work experience and at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to follow protocols and process flows to ensure high quality service responses.
  • Excellent command of the English language both in speech and writing.
  • Experience with pump technology and installation technology
  • Experience and Microsoft Office and SAP (SAP CS Customer Service highly preferred).
  • Communicative, good at making connections (inside and outside), independent, sturdy, initiative-oriented, result-oriented.

Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidate must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.

The starting pay for this position is $27.33 per hour. Actual pay will depend on skill set, experience, and location.

Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Hayward, CA.
