The QA Supervisor is responsible for continuously improving the quality of the company's product line by preventing, quickly detecting, and validating product and process defects, to deliver market and customer driven business results. You will evaluate the test results, prepare change requests, and generate measures to assess the product quality. In this role you will work with an integrated team of developers, product managers, product owners, and system analysts for test planning, test Automation and execution, and product validation. As part of the supervisor role, you will be responsible for mentoring and being an escalation point to the quality assurance analyst/engineer on your team, approving PTO requests, assisting with recruitment and onboarding of new associates, and collecting data for the team. You will also be the main point of contact for your team during releases and making sure that tickets for your group are in the right status.

Role qualifications:

Experience (proven)

  • 8+ years of experience in business/systems testing
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams and products in an Agile environment
  • Healthcare industry experience is a must
  • Previous experience as a QA Supervisor is a plus
  • Ability to showcase an understanding of general testing techniques such as functional, integration performance and regression testing
  • Working knowledge of test management & automated testing tools
  • Must have experience to lead the activities and mentor a team of QA analysts, including goal setting for personal and professional development.
  • Must have experience in cross functional team management- Function as a bridge between the product owners, developers, and product verification
  • Developing procedures & governance approach to test documentation & execution
  • Assisting in the recognition & reward of employees commensurate with performance
  • Must have an expert understanding of general testing techniques such as functional, integration, performance, and regressions testing.

  • Experience with Cucumber is a plus

What you will be doing:

  • Mentoring and onboarding new QAs & QEs to the development teams.
  • Supervising the QAs & QEs in developing test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on the business, user, and functional/nonfunctional requirements
  • Reviewing automated test coverage for functional and regression testing.
  • Managing QA on call rotation schedule strategy for patching maintenance windows & release schedules.
  • Host/Participate in release/Pod planning meetings and quarterly planning meetings.
