Advanced Practitioner - Cardiothoracic Surgery at
SSM Health Dean Medical Group - Madison, WI
SSM Health-Dean Medical Group, a 500-physician multi-specialty group, is actively recruiting an experienced Advanced Practitioner (NP) to work in our well-established Cardiothoracic Surgery Department.
As the ideal candidate, you would have surgical first assist experience and a strong attraction to the operating room. Must be able to function in a high-stress environment and thrive within a team approach model.
The new provider\'s responsibilities will include assisting in the operating room (including endoscopic and open vein and radial artery harvesting); patient care on the Cardiothoracic Surgery in-patient unit; night call on weeknights and weekends (approximately 1 in 5 for each) for floor patients and for the operating room; and rare outpatient clinic care.
*Opportunity Highlights:
- Hours vary between 7am-5pm, 5 days a week with rotating weekend hours
- 1 in 5 call schedule
- Position is primarily on inpatient and OR responsibilities
- SSM Health Cardiothoracic Surgery is one of the largest heart surgery programs in WI

- The SSM Health Cardiac Center includes three dedicated cardiovascular operating rooms, a hybrid suite, a 37-bed nursing unit that offers 24-hour telemetry monitoring, 12-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit and a 10-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit
- St. Mary\'s Hospital and Dean Medical Group are part of SSM Health, an integrated health system that has facilities in Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
