Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm, rotating every fourth Saturday.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria
  • Execute routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures
  • Oversee, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to maintain proper functionality
  • Demonstrate ability in making technical decisions for testing and issue resolution
  • Prepare, test, and assess new reagents or controls
  • Deliver precise and timely test results to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
  • Maintain sufficient testing bench supplies and assist in specimen processing when required
  • Promote a safe work environment and adhere to appropriate personal protective equipment guidelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or compliance with local regulatory (CLIA & State) standards
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical laboratory testing
  • Preferred ASCP or AMT certification
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Proficiency in computer operations; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and organizational skills
  • Successful completion of standardized color vision screening
  • Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed
