Position Summary:

We are seeking a Data Engineer with proficiency in Spark and SQL to contribute to our team's efforts in building and maintaining our data infrastructure. This role plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of our data systems. If you possess a passion for data accessibility and enjoy working with large datasets, this opportunity is well-suited for you. Prior experience with Python, healthcare data, and Power BI Semantic Models will be considered a significant advantage.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines and architectures using Databricks and Spark.
  • Write advanced SQL queries for complex data transformations.
  • Optimize Spark jobs for enhanced performance in handling large-scale data.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to design and implement data models for business intelligence tools.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to the improvement of data solutions and reporting capabilities using Python, healthcare data knowledge, and Power BI Semantic Models, where applicable.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field preferred; however, substantial relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer, with strong command of Databricks/Spark.
  • Expertise in SQL.
  • Experience with Python, healthcare data, and Power BI Semantic Models is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, warehousing, ETL pipelines, and cloud services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Compensation and Location:

  • The salary range is $85,000 to $173,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role can be located remotely within the U.S.
