JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibility to support the creation of IT Solutions design with solutions and application analysts, completion of IT information response pack and IT pricing in response to Customer RFQ's (Request for Quotation), Contract Renewal, RFI (Request for Information), Major Scope Changes

  • Must be comfortable presenting the above content in customer technical reviews
  • Work closely with the Solutions Engineers and other relevant BID Team disciplines to design optimal (costs, efficiencies, best practices, ...) customer solutions before adding the required IT solution, including all customisations
  • Work with nominated IT SME's (Subject matter experts across all IT disciplines) to assist in responding, designing, costing and planning the implementation of IT solutions
  • Adherence to the Global common RFQ process and use of the associated tools. Ensure all IT tollgates are passed in line with the RFQ timing
  • Ensure all IT proposals adhere to approved equipment standards, ensure that IT pricing reflects the latest unit pricing and advise of any lead time risks in the delivery of IT equipment or services (such as Internet links and long lead time IT equipment, Integration, Compliance certification such as ISO27000 or SSAE16 etc)
  • Leverage all vertical IT solutions in development of a response as deemed appropriate where similar solutions span multiple verticals e.g. Spares/Service Logistics/Aftermarket
  • Escalation of any issues leading to the failure of any IT discipline to meet the IT milestones as coordinated with the Bid Manager and/or alert when additional help or resource is required to deliver the optimal IT solution & pricing
  • Assist in the identification of Innovative IT / Eng / Technical solutions that bring DP World a competitive advantage in maintaining a leading position OR indeed bring us closer or on par with the best in the industry
  • Provide input into DP World IT Strategic Product Development workshops, assist in detailing requirements and prioritizing our on-going R&D investments for the future to ensure they are meaningful to our competitiveness

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree: IT or related Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, or Business Administration with emphasis in Computer Science, Supply Chain solution design experience / equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience: Minimum >5 years working in a multi-national enterprise environment Demonstrated leadership experience required including significant dealings with external customers
  • Detailed understanding of Contract logistics 3PL outsourcing
  • Experience and detailed understanding of enterprise architecture and associated software systems relating to the provision of 3rd party logistics solutions and integration to customer systems and local automation (Conveyor/PLC driven systems)
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, general communication skills. Proven management skills with capability to coordinate the design of IT solutions within the constraints of time, cost, functionality
  • Effective co-ordination of a multi discipline distributed team with dependency on several IT functions (applications, integration, PMO, DBA, ESS, SD, TSS, Telecoms, IT Security, IT Admin etc.)
  • Languages: English (fluent) globally required
  • Managing internal/external customer relationships
  • Developing cost models and managing budgets
  • Functional knowledge of AOS (or similar WMS/ERP application)
  • Understanding of Automotive specific processes: Sequencing, Export Packing or Order Fulfillment, Warehouse Management, RCM, MRP and SCM
  • Root-cause analysis & creative problem solving skills.
  • Software Development Lifecycle - Interpret complex technical documentation, Defining Business Requirements, Defining Functional Requirements. Defining Software Requirements Specifications using functional and technical analysis and documentation techniques, Developing detailed test plans
  • Software Development Technologies - Oracle Developer, BI Tools, 12c, Application workflow, EDI standards
