The Awty International School seeks a full-time Middle School Math Teacher for the school year. The school is looking for an energetic, creative person who interacts with students and colleagues in a professional manner and is eager to become part of our Secondary Faculty team. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to teaching in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Minimum Requirements :
- BA or equivalent in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a similar scientific field
- 2 years of teaching experience in Middle School Mathematics
- 5 years of teaching experience Ideal Candidate :
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Education and/or Mathematics Education
- Experience teaching Upper School Math courses, such as Geometry and Algebra II.
- Experience teaching IB Mathematics (MYP and/or DP)
- Fluency with mathematical technology such as Desmos, GeoGebra, Wolfram Alpha, graphing calculators, etc.
- Interest in leading Math clubs, competitions, or other extracurricular activities
