The Area Director of Sales will be responsible for driving national, local, group, business transient sales and marketing results for two Nashville Area Hotels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establishing annual sales goals, preparation of budget, and marketing plan. Meet or exceed the annual sales revenue goals, including sales activity production.
Develop expert knowledge of the hotel's positioning in marketplace, seasonality, pricing strategies and master the competitive advantages to the hotel's primary/secondary competitive sets
Providing customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations
Managing the development of a strategic action plan for the demand generators in the market
Work with General Managers and Vice President of Sales to manage the marketing budget to enable development of property specific campaigns, promotions and collateral to drive revenue and meet property objectives
Provide leadership to help drive productivity and performance of the sales team. Timely execution of specific assignments.
Comply with company sales reporting standards using Delphi, and financial management software. Prepare pre-trip and post-trip reporting of any travel and tradeshow related activities.
Guide and participate in monthly sales department and revenue and strategy meetings
Develop, implement and execute sales strategies in a quarterly action plans to impact existing key accounts, target accounts and the development of new business opportunities within assigned market segments.
Creating and suggesting strategies and tactics for respective markets in the annual business plan. Maintain relations and high visibility in relative business organizations such as, HSMAI, Nashville Chamber, and local hotel/motel associations.
Requirements:Hotel Sales experience a must. Marriot experience preferred.
3-5 years of experience in sales leadership including both strategic sales and/or brand development experience
Ability to demonstrate expert knowledge and customer contacts in the preferred corporate and/group markets.
Four-year college degree from an accredited institution; Bachelor's degree in in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel + Restaurant Management, or related major or related professional area preferred, but not required.
Advanced computer skills and knowledge of various discipline focused computer programs, including a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, FOSSE, ZoomInfo
