Purpose: This is an exciting time for Eagle Hill; in 2023, we began a new chapter under the dynamic leadership of our new Head of School, Gretchen Larkin while we look forward to celebrating EHS's 50th anniversary and tradition of offering children who learn differently the opportunity to transform into confident and resilient students empowered with strategies to meet challenges and flourish beyond Eagle Hill. The Admission Associate/ Associate Director of Enrollment requires an ability to provide outstanding "guest service" for students and parents. A successful person in this position will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and advanced computer skills. This position calls for a high level of, and commitment to, diversity, equity, and belonging, especially as it relates to neurodiversity. This is a twelve-month position that reports directly to the Director of Enrollment. Start date for this position is July 1, 2024. Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Assistant or Associate Director of Admissions include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensure prospective students and parents are thoughtfully guided and encouraged through the admissions process in a professional, helpful, and efficient way. Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on each prospective student throughout the admission process. Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive, discreet, and mature manner. Provide high level customer service via email, telephone, and in-person with prospective parents, students, consultants, and referring professionals. Liaise with academic and integrated services leadership to organize meetings with prospective families, as required. Evaluate student profiles to determine fit and help connect families with outside resources, as appropriate. Serve on the Admissions and Financial Aid Committees Support admissions events (e.g., Open Houses, Information Sessions, Virtual Programs) both during and outside of regular school hours. Collaborate with communications and marketing team on the development and distribution of admissions materials. Regularly observe classes, attend school events, and fulfill other typical faculty duties during the academic year including recess or dismissal duty as a way to better understand the EHS program and culture. Conduct new student screenings as necessary. Support retention and re-enrollment of current students. Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Qualifications: Communicates effectively with warmth, sensitivity, humor, and understanding as they interact with prospective families, colleagues, students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff. Willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of the department and school. Proven commitment to diversity, equity, and belonging initiatives. Previous experience in Special Education and/or Admissions preferred.
