Sage Ag Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, self-motivated, & detailed oriented individuals who are passionate about agriculture & machinery. Through this position, you will be working with a major agricultural machinery manufacturer providing support to technicians and others, helping to diagnose and find solutions for sprayers and application equipment. This position is based in Des Moines, Iowa. Currently remote work is available after a training period. This position also requires minimal (approximately 10%) travel for training and troubleshooting complex cases. Previous experience with precision ag equipment including displays, receivers, and applications is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Document all inquiries/cases and relevant communication into software system
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair issues with precision ag technology and other ag equipment
  • Utilize virtual tools to communicate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues
  • Participate and occasionally lead training events to improve technical knowledge
  • Be available to respond to inquiries via phone, email or text at specified shift
Requirements:
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 in an Agricultural, Engineering, Software or related major
  • Experience with precision agriculture products
  • Ability to understand complex mechanical and software systems
  • Effective communication skills and experience providing technical instruction
  • Ability to work and collaborate with others both in person and virtually
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagnostic procedures
  • Maintain positive attitude working in fast paced environment
  • Valid U.S Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to troubleshoot complex issues and provide training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to keep accurate & detailed records of work performed
  • Knowledge of CAN Communication systems is ideal, but not required
  • Experience diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems is preferred
