Role Purpose:

The Process Improvement Manager will provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx) program lifecycle; drive the sustainability and impact of ManEx tools and practices throughout the brewery to support delivery and performance. Implement Best Practices/Standards and ManEx roadmap focused on driving performance with structured and standardized ways of working including formal root cause failure analysis, loss analysis, structured communication, and performance improvement.

Accountabilities & Impact:
  • Build ManEx capability across the brewery working closely with site leads, People Operations and other functions to improve capability from Operator to Supervisor level by defining and implementing a standardized set of tools to manage manufacturing execution and implementation of lean principles.
  • Assure the site adopts & embeds the ManEx standards and best in class practices as defined, developed and established within our ManEx framework.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement and Productivity Savings Projects. Responsible for identifying, chartering, and leading significant improvement initiatives - delivering the project results on time. Provide project updates to the brewery leadership team and project stakeholders highlighting the status, adherence to the project time plan, work accomplished, quick wins, points of escalation, elements of risk and the associated mitigation plans.
  • Administration and management of critical operational data.
  • Execute Rapid Changeover activities including principles, target setting, and leading successful efforts reducing
    changeover time to achieve challenging objectives.
  • Work with leadership in the development and execution of mid-range plans (90-day plan) and daily action plan /
    loss elimination activities through DDS.
Skills & Experiences Needed:
  • Three years of experience in food manufacturing preferred at or above supervisory level.
  • Skilled communicator and interact effectively with all levels of employees - from corporate
    management to hourly production workers.
  • Exhibits outstanding team building skills and ability to influence indirectly.
  • Ability to assume a leadership role, as needed, as a member and/or leader of project team.
  • Change oriented mindset -History of identifying issues and taking action to avoid recurrence.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and above average computer
    skills.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics and database management.
  • Demonstrated experience spearheading improvements, establishing standards and coaching
    operators.
  • Proficient in the use of Continuous Improvement tools and principles: Problem Solving, Visual Work
    Standards, Training Aids.
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent business results under demanding timetables.
  • Multitasking, successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Able to work in a manufacturing setting and spend time on manufacturing floor.
  • Ability to flex work times as needed - required to work off shifts and weekends if necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university field (Engineering or Business,
    preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma, TPM or Lean background with examples of application and results preferred
    (preferable skill set at the level of a Green or Black Belt).
