Truck Driver/Laborer

The town of Groton Department of Public Works is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a full-time position as Truck Driver/Laborer.

  • Operating various motor-driven vehicles and equipment for public works services
  • Assisting in snow and ice removal operations
  • Required to work during off-duty hours and emergencies

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of prior truck experience in construction and maintenance, or a combination of education and experience. A valid Class B (CDL) license and good driving record are essential. The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and the public is crucial. Pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screenings, CORI check, and driver history verification are mandatory.
