Sr. Manager, Order Management

Cell Therapy represents one of the most innovative cancer treatment areas today. The Role:

As the Sr. Manager of Order Management, you will lead a team of experts specializing in order management for ERP systems and processes. This role entails close collaboration with BMS's global site stakeholders and third-party distributors. You will oversee and support the Cell Therapy ERP order management system, expand the order-to-cash process to new markets, and ensure a top-notch customer delivery experience for our patient treatment centers worldwide.

  • This position is based in Seattle, WA or Summit, NJ, requiring in-office presence a minimum of 50% of the time.
  • Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday support is necessary.
  • International and domestic travel will be essential, not exceeding 20%.
Qualifications and Background:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years managing direct reports; previous experience in team management preferred.
  • Proficiency in working in regulated environments like GxP.
  • Experience in the Order to Cash domain, familiarity with Pharma standard processes, and challenges, including order initiation and management, invoicing, and returns. Experience in Cell Therapy is a plus.
  • Previous exposure to Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 software, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee Order to Cash workstream projects and market launches to support Global Cell Therapy operations.
  • Conduct strategic planning to assess upcoming project impacts on processes, systems, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor the automated creation of necessary documents within the system and address any related exceptions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to resolve order exceptions and ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT and Vendor Managers to address day-to-day operational issues.
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and work closely with the team to resolve defects.
  • Act as the Order Management subject matter expert for ERP system implementations and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with different teams for Order Exception Management and process enhancements.
  • Work with Business Intelligence teams to develop reports for the Order Management department.
  • Analyze current processes for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Mentor junior team members and encourage decision-making.
  • Ensure individual and team performance meets expectations.

Compensation:

The starting salary for this position ranges from $114,000 to $144,000, with additional incentive opportunities based on eligibility.
