The Enterprise Application Security Architect defines and communicates the system and business capabilities, services, technologies, quality attributes, and design required to implement a solution that represents an intersection of MetLife's Business, Information, Application, Governance, and Technology domains.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Domain expertise in Application/User Security and Cloud Technologies/Architectures.
  • Responsible for creating, analyzing, and communicating system architectures, application design patterns, and reference architectures/standards.
  • Work closely with software engineers, security professionals, infrastructure engineers, and other Enterprise Architects in validating and implementing proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with other architects to ensure the integrity of solutions to reference architectures and standards.
  • Leads or participates in matrix team projects as assigned.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in Architecture or Information Security and strong technical experience with building enterprise-scale security solutions.
  • IDaaS, Web Application Management, and API Security experience are a must.
  • 2+ years of experience with security architecture including hands-on knowledge of SAML 2.0, oAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, Multi-Factor Authentication, cloud security, etc.
  • 2+ years of knowledge with Cloud Computing platforms with preferred experience in Azure.
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience with Ping Identity and Azure Active Directory.
  • Demonstrated expertise in security, operational, and resiliency architecture principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with focused attention to detail, as well as demonstrated professionalism and time/task management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to apply analysis to actionable insights.


Preferred:

  • Generative AI Security experience.
  • Agile and DevSecOps experience.
  • Threat Modelling experience.
  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, especially in insurance and financial industries and systems.
  • IT Experience in enterprise-scale organizations in an architecture role.
  • Knowledge of multiple architecture disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
