Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) responsible for security analyses, security engineering, and security countermeasures to protect NGIC Information Systems (IS).

Analyzes, implements, and maintains procedures and security requirements for NGIC systems and processing networks at sensitivity levels of information.

Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through testing and analyzing of information systems security profiles and related security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.

Conducts systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews. Serves as test director during system and/or network certification and accreditation processes.

Performs in-depth technical reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of complex contractor-operated automated information systems and networks to include the evaluation of security safeguards.

Reviews emerging technologies for Center application, architectural compliance, and performance characteristics.
