About the RoleAs an Underwriting Associate, you will support underwriters and the underwriting process by collaborating with team members, clients, and internal functions such as Products, Finance, Claims, and Policy Processing. Your responsibilities will include handling renewals, new business, invoicing, and endorsements.
- Conduct preliminary deal analysis and prepare account data for review.
- Review and organize client documents using standard guidelines.
- Resolve errors and complete transactions in partnership with clients.
- Prepare documents for issuance and ensure customer acceptance.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Collaborate on operational processes and success factors.
Our team provides vital support to the Underwriting functions of North America General Property. We pride ourselves on accuracy, problem-solving, and industry knowledge. Our Underwriting Associates play a key role in the success of our business unit.
About YouIf you are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and have strong interpersonal skills, this role may be for you. We are looking for someone who can build effective relationships in a multicultural environment and has excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant insurance experience.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance principles.
- Experience in composing business correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong arithmetic, algebra, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in globally diverse teams.
- Proficient in the English language.
This position is based in either Kansas City, MO, or Chicago, IL, with a hybrid work model requiring office presence several days a week.
