Fredericksburg Academy, the top independent school in the Fredericksburg area, is in search of a full-time Upper School French Spanish teacher to start in August of 2024. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about helping students achieve their full potential academically and as future responsible individuals. The ideal candidate should show a strong interest in professional development and be eager to actively engage in the school community. At Fredericksburg Academy, students are provided with the tools to excel academically and apply for college in a rigorous yet supportive setting, fostering independent learning within our challenging college-preparatory curriculum. The Upper School Spanish role involves teaching Spanish levels I through V to students in grades 8 to 12. Since our students bring a laptop or tablet to school daily, a solid grasp of technology and its integration into the learning process is highly valued. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include serving as an advisor to a group of about 8 to 10 students. We are looking for candidates who are interested in contributing to extracurricular activities, such as coaching athletic teams at the Middle School or Varsity level, assisting with the Yearbook class, or guiding other student-led clubs.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field
- Proven experience in successful classroom teaching or a similar educational role
