Duties & Responsiblities:
VA New York Harbor Healthcare System (NYHHS) is recruiting for several full-time psychiatrist positions in both inpatient and outpatient settings at our Manhattan campus.
Both units are staffed by multi-disciplinary teams including attending Psychiatrists, supervising Psychologists, Suicide Prevention Coordinators, Social Work, Nursing, Peer Specialists, and other allied health staff.
These positions have a strong emphasis on teaching, including NYU Addiction Psychiatry Fellows, residents, and medical students, and VA psychology interns.
The outpatient setting entails work in our general MH Clinic where we are specifically recruiting for a psychiatrist with expertise in treatment resistant depression, to lead our somatic therapies teams.
We are affiliated with the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and staff have faculty appointments at NYU. These positions offer the opportunity for participation in scholarly/academic work. We offer competitive salaries and benefits, including annual support for CME and education travel. There is potential for Educational Debt Reduction support. Applicants must be US citizens and BE/BC.
