Status: Full-time

Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the finance and accounting operations of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and its related entities. All roles and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to sponsorship accounting, accounts receivables, revenue/expense journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and ad hoc projects.

Location:

This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.

Responsibilities:
  • Accounting for Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix sponsorship including creating estimates, generating invoices, tracking expenses, and reporting.
  • Recording various monthly journal entries including certain revenue recognition, prepaid, and accrual items, as needed.
  • Maintaining reconciliations while noting and resolving any reconciling items.
  • Providing accurate, timely, and relevant recording, and reporting of financial information.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing improvements to processes.
  • Willing to work on other ad hoc projects and analyses as required.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • 1-3 years relevant experience.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Meticulous, ambitious, organized, team player.
  • Experience working with Microsoft F&O ERP systems a plus.
  • Strong Work Ethic – Self-directed and goal-oriented; available to work extended hours as required.
  • Problem Solver – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills – Listens to others; works well in a team environment.
  • Strong Computer Skills – Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs with advanced strength in Excel.
  • Seeks Continuous Improvement – Adept at learning new software; confidently engages with technology.
