Job Summary

Provides basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Requires the knowledge, technique, and communication skills to therapeutically meet the needs of assigned Med-Surg Patients. Responsible for performing a variety of assigned tasks. Must be able to identify each patient's age-specific needs and provide appropriate care.

Job Specification

  • Minimum Education Required
    • A high school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum Experience Required
    • 1 year Medical-Surgical preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification Required
    • Successful completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program preferred.
    • BLS required or attained within 1 month upon hire.

Skills

  • A commitment to service excellence and performance improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with legible penmanship and computer knowledge.
  • Posses the ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, communicate with RN/GN staff to report changes in patient's conditions.
  • Ability to provide direct patient care to the Med-Surg patient.

Shift

  • Rotation
