The FP&A Analyst is responsible for financial, analytical and budget support, and for providing financial thought leadership and fiscal accountability. This role reports to the Associate Director, FP&A and will be a trusted business partner to GRAIL's Global Operations (GO) teams. Financial support will span across operating expenses, COGS and margin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Financial Planning and Analysis and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

This candidate will have the opportunity to help scale GRAIL's operations, thereby increasing access to early cancer detection tests.

This is a hybrid role and requires you to be onsite 2 days a week in Menlo Park, CA
ResponsibilitiesPlan and track operating expenses, headcount, cogs and margin Support the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting process for the Operations and Facilities functions, providing insights into investment activity and budget variancesAct as a conduit between Corporate FP&A and business partners to ensure planned and actual spend aligns with company goals and objectivesBuild financial models to support resource and capital expenditure decision-making, including capacity analyses, cash flow projections and investment planningPrepare executive presentations for budget, forecast, and business case analysisPartner with accounting on monthly close, specifically with regards to accruals, allocations, and cost per sample analyses Partner with development and operations to help drive operating efficiencies and long-term scaling strategiesSupport GDOs teams (including the clinical labs, procurement, planning and logistics, engineering operations, technical operations, facilities and development) by offering strong financial reporting and oversight for business decision support
Preferred Qualifications2+ years' experience in Finance (FP&A) or Business AnalysisBS/BA in Finance, Accounting or Business related field or equivalent, Masters degree preferredExperience in Diagnostic or Life Science industries preferred Experience supporting Operations function preferredExperience with COGS and margin reporting preferredA background in developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for business units or departmentsStrong interpersonal skills with experience collaborating and working on a teamExcellent professional written and verbal communication skills requiredAbility to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment

The expected, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $91K-$107K. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience, and location.

Based on the role, colleagues may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan tied to company and individual performance, or an incentive plan. We also offer a long-term incentive plan to align company and colleague success over time.
