Program Summary:

The Early Career Development Program (ECDP) provides participants with connectivity, cross-functional exposure, and the skills necessary to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic, luxury digital retail organization. In addition to on the job experience, the 12 month program offers a robust training curriculum that includes formal and experiential learning to sharpen technical and power skills essential to their role at Saks.

The program aims to enhance connectivity amongst program participants, as well as across the organization, by providing cohort team building activities and cross functional networking. You will gain a holistic understanding of the business by being exposed to each function of the organization through business 101 courses, Leadership roundtables, and site tours.

Role Description:

As an ECDP Participant on our Buying team, you'll gain exposure to various aspects of a career in Buying through technical training supported by our program curriculum, as well as on-the-job training in partnership with your respective Buyer. You will learn and be able to put into practice the fundamentals of Buying such as open-to-buy, markdowns and RTV execution, ship sheet management, market prep, merchandise analysis and more.

In addition to growing your skillset within Buying, through our curriculum you will also be provided with training on other key areas of our business, such as Planning- which ensures that our merchandise selection closely aligns with our strategy and goals, and Category Growth- which is responsible for leading the growth of our online categories through marketing data and insights.
