Electrical Estimator

 

BES Electrical Service is a premier commercial/industrial Electrical Contractor located in Olympia, WA. We are looking for a great candidate with excellent estimating, organizational and leadership skills to join our team. 

 

Electrical Estimator will be responsible for evaluating bid documents and develop accurate, competitive and profitable bid proposals. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate project plans, specs and bid documents to produce an accurate and detailed cost proposal.
  • Research project bid documents and analyze specifications.
  • Execute and input take-offs in computer based estimating software (Accubid). 
  • Form strong working relationships with distributors, subcontractors, estimators, architects, engineers and owners. 
  • Commit to deadlines and deliver accurate estimates in a timely manner. 
  • Attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings. 
  • Participate in bid review with management. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years electrical estimating experience on commercial/industrial multimillion dollar electrical projects.
  • Previous field experience preferred but not required. 
  • Extensive knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and electrical construction means and methods.
  • Manage preconstruction activities during the design phase on design-build & design-assist projects.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with interruptions and still meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Bluebeam, Accubid and Accubid Live Count.
  • Detailed orientated, self starter that can communicate effectively with office personel, engineers, subcontractors, architects and owners. 

 

Benefits:

  • Competitive Base Salary: $ 110-130k, in addition employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within that range is dependent upon the employee's performance, skills, experience and qualifications. 
  • Employer paid medical/dental/vision coverage for employee. 
  • 401k
  • Profit sharing and may be eligible for 3% Employer paid 401k contribution. 
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays (currently 8 total to match union holidays)
