MTX Group Inc. (MTX) is currently hiring for the position of Senior Principal Consultant in a PMO Role. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with extensive experience in leading large-scale complex projects. The ideal candidate will be able to lead Strategic client relationships and business alignment across multiple projects. Additionally they will be responsible for enhancing client loyalty, identifying expansion opportunities, and ensuring projects contribute to client's strategic success.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Principal Consultant is expected to align program implementations with client

business goals, build strong client relationships, identify growth opportunities, driving success

and sustainability while executing the following responsibilities:


1. Strategic Relationship:

● Client Relationship Management:

  • Own Client relationship with Key Stakeholders and Steering Committee Members.
  • Establish engagement and operating model with various stakeholders utilizing MTX Delivery Methodology and Gold Standards and ensure compliance to established standards.
  • Provide strategic direction to expand MTX footprint for clients.
  • Responsible for ensuring alignment between project deliverables and the client's strategic business goals.

● Client Retention and Opportunity Identification:

  • Meeting client expectations and achieving strategic objectives to enhance client satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities, facilitating growth and expansion.


2. Project Delivery:

● Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Facilitate working sessions with key stakeholders - Technical managers, PMO, VP, CP and subject matter experts.
  • Present and communicate architectural solutions and strategies to stakeholders at all levels.

● Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Support MTX compliance, information security, SRE/NOC processes.
  • Provide real time mentorship to program team members.

● Project Delivery:

  • Provide standard and any additional necessary project updates to various stakeholders at various forums.
  • Proactively identify and manage issues/risks related to project delivery.
  • Manage project dependencies and represent projects in various cross-project forums.
  • Ensure all work streams are performing effectively and efficiently to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Actively participate in estimating the level of effort (LOE) and delivery/completion dates, sprint planning, and tracking.
  • Liaise with various upstream systems for data sourcing and establish solution & design principles.
  • Remove obstacles for agile squads and reduce interruptions.
  • Drive decisions around priorities with client and internal teams.
  • Drive forecast accuracy across their programs.
  • Serve as a delivery escalation point and relationship owner for assigned client/program.
  • Responsible for bridging any gap between implementation efforts and the client’s business objectives.

● Financial Management:

  • Responsible for overseeing project finances, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Allocating resources efficiently, managing vendor contracts, and providing regular financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Identifying and mitigating financial risks to protect the project budget and profitability.

● Communication and Reporting:

  • Generates and distributes weekly status reports to stakeholders.
  • Communicates project updates, risks, and issues effectively to all relevant parties.
  • Ensures clear and consistent communication channels are established and maintained throughout the project.


3. Organization Development:

● Mentorship and Guidance:

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the project, fostering their professional growth and development within the team.

● Contribution to the COE (Center of Excellence):

  • Collaborate with top talent across various work streams to support the development of best practices, create cutting-edge solutions, and set industry standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and thought leadership, ensuring our organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements and market trends.
  • Actively participates in Communities of Excellence (CoEs) and discussion forums.

● Growth and Development of Project/ Regional Teams:

  • Participate in the hiring process to identify top talent for the projects in the region as needed.
  • Support VPs and PDM in talent development in the region by identifying relevant training programs for focused groups.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and drives initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Focus on team development, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.

● Operational Excellence:

  • Maintenance of Salesforce Certifications.
  • Required to travel for key project milestones.
  • Maintain utilization goals.


What you will bring:

  • 10+ years of PMO experience leading large technology implementations preferred.
  • Competent in managing $10M+ program/portfolio.
  • 3+ years of experience working as Program Manager.
  • 10+ years with PMI Certification.
  • Proficient in understanding the platform, including its architecture, data model, features, and capabilities.
  • Expert in developing a comprehensive project plan and milestones.
  • Expert in managing stakeholder relationships, providing regular project updates and resolving any issues that may arise, ensuring clear communication and understanding of client needs.
  • Expert in allocating resources, managing vendor contracts, and providing regular financial reports to stakeholders and mitigating any financial risk.
  • Expert in using project management tools like MS Project Plan, BEANS, MS Office Timelines.
  • Leadership: lead internal and client teams across the program, drive key decisions, provide thoughtful leadership to clients, and drive and maintain key metrics across the program (Forecast accuracy, Profitability, UTL, ADM, methodology and standards compliance).
  • Expert in maintaining key relationships with clients and building new relationships.
  • Expert in identifying and expanding opportunities in the programs or expanding footprint within client organizations.
  • Excellent collaboration and risk management skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a user-centric approach to problem-solving.
  • Significant experience leading large, cross-functional project teams, building project plans using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong exec-level communication skills, with experience providing project/program status meetings presentations to executives.
  • Experience dealing with complex issues, negotiating change orders with client that impact the triple constraints (scope, time, budget).
  • Experience working on projects with subcontractor scope.
  • Experience in SalesForce (or related platform) is helpful.
  • Local to NYC, on-site will be required on average 2 days per week.
  • PMP certification/Master or diploma in Project Management is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree and above is desirable.
