Job Title: Ink Technician

Location: Bloomfield, CT

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Ink Technician to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in managing ink mixing processes and supporting light warehouse operations. In this position, you will primarily work with our automated ink mixing system, ensuring its smooth operation and monitoring quality throughout the process. Previous experience with ink or paint mixing, particularly from companies like Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Sherwin-Williams, will be a significant advantage. This long-term role offers minimal training requirements and a chance to grow within a dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor an automated ink mixing system efficiently and safely.

Interpret and follow precise ink formulas to produce high-quality batches.

Maintain accurate records of manufacturing processes and quality control metrics.

Ensure each batch of ink adheres to our stringent quality standards.

Assist with job scheduling, ink estimations, and manage inventory effectively.

Maintain a clean and organized ink mixing area and equipment.

Perform basic warehouse tasks as needed to support operations.

Adhere to all safety protocols and maintenance guidelines.

Qualifications:

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Strong mathematical skills and a solid understanding of weight conversions (e.g., pounds to gallons).

Proven experience in pigment blending is essential; familiarity with water-based inks is a plus.

Ability to use and document viscometer readings accurately.

Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation.

Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Forklift experience is beneficial.

A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
