This person will work closely with our CFO, overseeing investor relations initiatives, managing client engagements, developing and executing investor relations programs, monitoring sector trends, gathering and analyzing data, planning client events, and supporting overall business initiatives directed toward clients and industry leadership.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support investor meetings, targeting, and scheduling, with a goal of meeting investor interest and demand with an accurate level of engagement by executives and IR.
  • Track and analyze insights from sell-side analyst reports and models
  • Provide daily logistical and strategic IR support to assigned client accounts.
  • Participate in client meetings, including coordinating logistics, preparing agendas, recordkeeping, and identifying action items.
  • Preparing client deliverables, including background documents, shareholder reports, analyst models, short interest reports, industry benchmarking reports, competitive intelligence research, quantitative data analyses on peer ownership from SEC filings (targeting), and other research projects.
  • Develop corporate communications and presentation materials including press releases, conference call scripts, corporate overview and Board of Directors PowerPoint presentations and Q&A and messaging documents,
  • Support the logistical planning and execution of earnings calls, roadshows, industry conferences, medical meetings and other investor events.
  • Assist with day-to-day communications with contacts in the life sciences investment community.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience including experience in investor relations in or for a publicly held biotechnology company.
  • Prior experience in investor relations, life sciences, consulting, banking, or financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with others diplomatically and tactfully.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft engaging and impactful messages and articulate a clear and compelling narrative.
  • Ability to understand financial concepts and translate them into clear and concise messages for different audiences.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, corporate finance, valuation methods, and financial reporting standards.
  • Resourceful and creative; contributing new ideas and ensuring that events, meetings and documents convey desired messaging.
  • Experience with investor relations software and tools, such as Nasdaq IR Insight, FactSet, etc.
