Position Summary: The Product Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving products in our manufacturing environment. This role involves creating detailed product specifications, developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring product quality and performance. The Product Engineer will work closely with various departments to drive product development from concept through production, continuously seeking ways to improve product quality and reduce costs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed product specifications and documentation.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and performance, conducting necessary testing and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements in existing products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Production, to ensure seamless product development and manufacturing.
  • Manage and oversee the Engineering Change Notification (ECN) process to ensure all changes are accurately documented and implemented.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for product failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support new product introduction by transitioning products from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams and other departments as needed.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Experience with ERP and PDM systems.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to product design and manufacturing.
  • Project management experience and skills.
