We are searching for a Lead Teacher to join our 3 to 5-year-old preschool program The ideal candidate will have a passion for early education, excellent classroom management skills, will build relationships and communicate effectively with parents, will collaborate well with other teachers, and will be willing to grow as an educator within our program.
We believe in having a child-centered, teacher supported curriculum inspired by renowned educational theory, including Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Piaget, and the Project Approach. Our center utilizes Teaching Strategies/Creative Curriculum® as part of our curriculum resources as we create lessons and learning opportunities based on children’s emerging interests. We believe that a child’s early learning experiences are strengthened with engagement through play, culture, and independence. We value each child as an individual whose social, emotional, and cultural needs must be met while simultaneously creating a warm and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications required for this position are:
- Minimum qualification: High School diploma or GED, CDA, AA, or BA in early childhood education or related field encouraged but not required.
- Experience working in an early childhood setting.
- CPR/First Aid Certified (within 90 days of hire)
- Ability to complete fingerprinting and background check.
- Enjoys implementing natural and cultural resources as part of daily activities and student curriculum.
- Willing to complete a minimum of 24 hours of professional development annually.

Pay: $21/hour+ competitive salary, depending on experience and educational background

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift with 1-hour lunch, 8:30am-5:30pm
- Monday to Friday
Education:
- BA in Early Childhood Education preferred. Will consider applicants with a CDA, AA, or BA in another field, and/or is actively working towards a certification in ECE.
Experience:
· Childcare and/or early childhood: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
