One of the Midwest's largest utility and gas companies is searching for a Scrum Master to join their team at their headquarters in Columbus, OH on a hybrid basis. In this Intermediate-level Scrum role, you will be responsible for partnering directly with product ownership and development teams to facilitate Scrum events, guide team organization, and further group efficacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide teams and organizations in using Scrum and Agile methodologies effectively.
  • Facilitate Scrum events, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning sessions, ensuring full team participation.
  • Support the Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog and coordinating release planning.
  • Identify and help remove impediments to team progress, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Promote team accountability, cross-training, and knowledge-sharing among team members.
  • Shield the team from external disruptions and ensure consistent focus on sprint goals.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and mediate conflicts.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, identifying risks, and managing priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and best practices to maximize team performance.


Preferred:

  • Certified Scrum Master (PSM I or II).
  • Familiarity with Agile development in the energy/utilities sector or related industries.
  • Past development experience or hands-on technical expertise is a plus.
