Position Summary
The Restaurant Floor Manager assists the General Manager (GM) in the day-to-day operations of the SoHo restaurant. Reports to the GM and oversees front-of-house restaurant staff including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers and barbacks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports the GM with hiring, assigning, and training employees.
- Ensures exceptional customer service standards are consistently met and that activities are carried out effectively.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage suppliers, inventory of front-of-house food and beverage needs, and supervises intake orders to ensure specifications.
- Organizing and implementing work schedules FOH employees
- Meets with dining room and bar personnel to plan restaurant activities, special events, share information, etc.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- At least 1-2 years' of full-service restaurant management
- Must have valid US work authorization.
- On occasion, may be required to lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds; kneel, bend, ascend or descend stairs; reach and grasp objects.
