Role- QA Lead

Location- San Diego, CA

Experience -8 +years


Must have Skill Set

✅ Postman (5+ Years on multiple integrated projects)

✅ JMeter (3+ Years)

✅ Selenium with Java/Python, Robot Framework (5+ Years)

✅ AWS Native- CloudWatch, Datadog, S3, RDS, Lambda, SQL, DynamoDB , SNS, SQS (Must have)

✅ JIRA / Test Rail

✅ Bitbucket

✅ QA leadership (ownership of end to end complex integrated multiple projects, functional, performance, security)

✅ Test management, governance, capacity planning, resource management, prioritization, stakeholder management


Responsibilities:

• Lead QA Initiatives: Supervise and guide the QA team, ensuring effective execution of test plans and adherence to quality standards.

• Defect Management: Identify, analyze, and remedy defects within the production software lifecycle process. Provide detailed defect reports and recommendations for remediation.

• Preventive Actions: Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to continuously improve quality assurance processes.

• Data Analysis: Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data to evaluate the performance and reliability of applications.

• User Expectations: Ensure that testing processes meet user expectations and align with product requirements.

• Policy Development: Draft, maintain, and update quality assurance policies and procedures to support consistent testing practices.

• Customer Issues: Investigate customer complaints and product issues, providing actionable insights and recommendations for resolution.

• Testing Tools Management: Utilize and manage various testing tools, including Postman, Jmeter, test automation using Selenium, Robot Frameworkpytest, JMeter, Postman,Selenium or Playwright and others, to support comprehensive testing efforts. (MUST-HAVE)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• AWS & Testing: (MUST-HAVE)

• Tested applications deployed on AWS environments, ensuring compatibility and performance. (MUST-HAVE)

• Experience with testing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications hosted on AWS. (MUST-HAVE)

• Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and how it impacts application performance and security. (MUST-HAVE)

• Tested integrations with AWS services such as S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and SQS, ECS, Lambda to ensure seamless functionality. (MUST-HAVE)

• Verified successful deployment and configuration of applications in AWS environments. (MUST-HAVE)

• Scalability and Load Testing:

• Conducted scalability and load testing to verify application behavior under varying loads in AWS environments. (MUST-HAVE)

• Monitoring and Logging:

• Utilized AWS monitoring and logging tools (e.g., DataDog, CloudWatch) to track application performance and diagnose issues.

• Other Experience:

o RESTful 5+ years using Selenium with PythonAPI testing using Postman: creating test collections and environments, using postman variables, using Javascript features of Postman.. (MUST-HAVE)

o 3+ years in JMeter performance testing using JMeter or other open-source tools. (MUST-HAVE)

o Experience with MS SQL DB, ability to construct SQL queries.

• Automa tion Tools Development:

o Proficient in Robot Framework for automation testing.5+ years of test automation framework development: python-based frameworks such as pytest, Robot Framework or others.

o Experience working as a test development lead: working with code repositories (Git, Birbucket), creating, reviewing, merging pull requests. (MUST-HAVE)

o Jenkins: experience setting up test automation jobs in Jenkins, (MUST-HAVE)

• Testing Test tracking and defect tracking tTools:

o Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, TestRail, and Postman.

• Quality Assurance Expertise:

o Proven experience as a Quality Analyst or in a similar role.

o Strong background in quality inspection, auditing, and testing.

• Analytical Skills:

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

• Communication:

o Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.

• Nice to HaveOther:

o Preferred to have relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Analyst.

o Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of DevOps practices.

o Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes
