This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity that offers a pay rate of $20.00/hour and has a 1st shift schedule. The primary responsibilities for this role include entering patient records to meet strict deadlines for claims submission. This task involves managing records for multiple facilities, including demographic and insurance information, CPT, ICD-10, Quality Measure codes, provider names, and anesthesia start and stop times. Additionally, this position entails coding services rendered, which requires reviewing patient medical records for proper documentation and assigning accurate CPT, ICD-10, and Quality Measure codes to ensure timely charge posting and claims submission. Ideal candidates should have proven experience as a Billing Specialist, with a strong focus on Charge Entry and Coding, and possess in-depth knowledge of current coding regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.


Location: Winston-Salem, NC (100% onsite)

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour


Responsibilities:

  • Charge Entry of Anesthesia Charges
  • Charge Entry of Quality Measures of Medical Records
  • Review of documentation to determine compliance
  • Accurately enter and process charges related to specific services into the billing system
  • Review documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with coding guidelines
  • Assign appropriate codes to procedures and services in accordance with current coding regulations and guidelines
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and correct coding errors, ensuring compliance with industry standards


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Billing Specialist with a focus on Charge Entry and Coding
  • In-depth knowledge of current coding regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
  • Familiarity with industry billing practices and requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in charge entry and coding processes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in using billing and coding software
