We are looking for Sr. level JAVA backend (API) software Engineers in the NY who would like to join our growing NCY API Team. Join a real AI company that's been doing it before it was cool.
This is a Hybrid opportunity that is perfect for Senior Backend Software Engineers that currently live commutable 3 times a week to our WeWork office on Park Ave.
(NOTE: We are open to all Java/Python/Go developer candidates for this position)

Your responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain new features for the our API on our backend services, collaborating with multiple engineering teams
- Develop and maintain open-source client libraries for the company's API in several programming languages
- Contribute to monitoring the API services in production, e.g. by defining expressive metrics and ensuring informative logs
Qualities we look for
- Proficiency in a modern programming language with solid experience in backend development. Exposure to or familiarity with our tech stack (C#, React, TypeScript) or similar technologies would be beneficial but is not a strict requirement. What's more important is your willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Experience with the design of Web APIs
- Solid understanding of algorithmic complexity and common data structures
- Effective and pragmatic; you can weigh between 'perfect' and 'good enough' depending on priorities and business impact
- The ability to explain complex ideas and designs to developers with a wide variety of experience and backgrounds
- Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Comfortable with a hybrid working model and able to come into our New York office regularly (3x per week). This is important to us in order to build a strong culture within our NY hub.
We’d especially love to talk if you have the following:
- Experience developing services for public API products
- Experience maintaining open-source projects
- Significant experience in multiple programming languages

Salary Range
Please note: This is an exempt position. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
Base Salary Range: $170k-225k Annually
