Job Description

Position Description:

The Production Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for. In our plants around the world, we’re constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love. What you'll do... Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts Drive to exceed personal, team, Company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards through servant leadership Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams


Skills Required:

-Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations -Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers -Highly committed to continuous improvement, while applying innovative solutions with a customer first mindset -Create a culture of safety and apply and implement workplace policies -Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively -Values different opinions & is open to ideas & perspectives from others -Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook


Experience Required:

-1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience -Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends


Experience Preferred:

-Safety and quality experience -Prior experience managing a unionized workforce -Knowledge of constraint management principles


Education Required:

High School Diploma or GED


Education Preferred:

-Bachelor’s Degree -Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified
