Robert Half's client is looking for someone an experienced litigation paralegal to join their team. What You’ll Do:


  • Manage Court Filings – Utilize your e-Filing and PACER expertise to keep cases running smoothly.
  • Draft and Prepare Pleadings – You’ll be hands-on in creating the documents that drive cases forward.
  • Legal Citations – Show off your Shepardizing skills to ensure rock-solid legal support.
  • Trial Preparation – Play a crucial role in trial prep, from depositions to mediation, supporting attorneys and keeping all pieces aligned.
  • Handle High-Impact Claims – Manage complex claims for indemnity, change orders, construction, and design defect issues.
  • Blue Book Champion – Bring your citation know-how to keep every document accurate and compliant.
  • Organizational Guru – Maintain precise filing systems that attorneys can count on.


Must-Have Qualifications:


To thrive in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements. Candidates without this experience will not be considered:


  • Complex litigation experience in both state and federal courts.
  • Proven expertise with the Blue Book for legal citation.
  • Proven experience in drafting pleadings from scratch, rather than relying heavily on templates or forms, including preparing answers to complaints, initial complaints, demurrers, affirmative defenses, counterclaims, and related documents.
  • Familiarity with scheduling orders and managing litigation deadlines to keep cases on track.
  • e-Filing and court filings know-how and proficiency with PACER.
  • The ability to perform cite checks and Shepardize case law like a pro.
  • Experience in drafting pleadings and preparing legal documents with attention to detail.
  • A background in trial preparation for high-stakes cases.
  • Strong skills in assisting attorneys prepare for depositions and mediation.
  • A demonstrated history in managing voluminous discovery, including utilizing e-discovery platforms such as Ever Law, Relativity, etc., and the ability to help prepare chronologies and deposition outlines.
  • Experience with entering billable hours and tracking time spent on litigation cases.
