About us

Pro Design Contractors is a commercial site utility, plumbing and earthwork contractor located in Gardner, KS. We perform our work in and around the KC Metro area. We work with many general contractors for the developmental construction needs. We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project success
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
  • Knowledge of construction worksite safety practices
  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents
  • Coordinate and manage construction teams, including subcontractors and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Manage project budgets and expenses, tracking costs and making recommendations for cost-saving measures
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns or issues that arise
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Procuring Material
  • Quality Control-Ensuring quality control and compliance with safety regulations
  • Planning, tendering, cost summary, and project reporting
  • Qualify and quantify all bids, value engineering proposals and constructability reviews
  • Manage compliance of contractual responsibilities, contract documents and provide dispute resolution and risk mitigation
  • Manage all contract and change order costs, including negotiating, processing, and assessing impacts
  • Manage all documents such as shop drawings, RFI's and addendums
  • Provide regulate performance status reports regarding cost forecasts, schedule, and safety
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage a tea
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting construction documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise during construction projects
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and ability to negotiate terms
  • Experience with Excel & Sage 100 Contractors
