Environmental Technician

Duration: 6 month contract to hire (conversion based on performance)

Rate: $20-24/hr

Location: Carlsbad, NM


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.


Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.


Must Haves:

  • 1+ years of experience in oil field, environmental consulting, or other related field
  • Ability to travel for field work primarily in southeastern New Mexico area and some overnight travel may be required (can expense mileage/overnight travel). Field work will be primarily outdoors, exposed to varying weather conditions, wearing FRC clothing.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Overview:

Insight Global is searching for an Environmental Field Tech to provide support on various environmental projects in the Permian Basin of Texas and New Mexico. This person will be responsible for a wide variety of environmental field activities. Candidate must be highly motivated; customer focused and work well in a team environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel and be on-call as needed.



Day to Day:

  • Soil sampling activities.
  • Groundwater sampling activities.
  • Completion of detailed field notes, daily reports, forms and checklists.
  • Health and Safety assessments and audits of project sites and teams.
  • Quality, Health and Safety oversight of sub contractors.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
