The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership abilities, project management skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes related to exterior masonry and roofing work. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of NYCHA projects involving exterior masonry and roofing work, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, NYC and state laws, and project timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

· Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, for projects involving exterior masonry and roofing work.

· Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of project objectives while complying with NYC and state laws and regulations.

Exterior Masonry and Roofing Work, and NYCHA Project Management:

· Utilize expertise in exterior masonry and roofing work to provide technical guidance and support throughout all project phases.

· Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of exterior masonry and roofing structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, NYC and state building codes, and specifications.

· Manage NYCHA projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with agency requirements, NYC and state laws, regulations, and protocols.

· Maintain familiarity with NYCHA procedures, documentation, and reporting standards.

Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:

· Implement quality control measures to uphold the highest standards of workmanship and durability in exterior masonry and roofing work.

· Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations, OSHA regulations, and other relevant NYC and state laws to maintain a safe working environment for all project personnel.

Budget and Cost Management:

· Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and mitigating risks to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints while complying with NYC and state laws and regulations.

Risk Assessment and Problem Solving:

· Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address issues before they escalate, ensuring compliance with NYC and state laws and regulations.

· Facilitate problem-solving efforts and decision-making processes to resolve challenges and maintain project momentum in alignment with NYC and state laws.

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

· Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, challenges, and compliance with NYC and state laws and regulations.

· Foster strong relationships with NYCHA representatives, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders, ensuring alignment with NYC and state laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in exterior masonry and roofing work and NYCHA projects, with a thorough understanding of NYC and state laws and regulations.

· Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques related to exterior masonry and roofing work, compliant with NYC and state laws and regulations.

· Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment while complying with NYC and state laws and regulations.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail, especially concerning NYC and state laws and regulations.

· Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience ensuring strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols.
