About the Role:

As an instructional designer on the Central Safety Operations team, you will work to analyze learning needs and objectives, work with subject matter experts to design and develop learning content, curriculums, and materials to create engaging learning experiences that help promote safe behaviors. You will leverage technologies, creative tools, manage projects, and work with global teams to distribute learning programs tailored to specific audiences. You will need strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, and a demonstrated knowledge of learning and development theories and best practice.

The Central Safety Operations at team develops policies, frameworks, and strategy to make the safest and most trusted choice while supporting customers when things go wrong. ‌We work to keep our customers safe, inspire trust in everything we do, and drive accountability across and our industry.


Scope, design, and develop learning products to meet the needs of our diverse global user base while achieving the intended learning outcomes.

Manage and guide stakeholders through the collaborative design process, liaising with program managers and the technology team to ensure effective design, development, implementation, and feedback loops

Leverage data and user feedback to recommend improvements for each design cycle

Find new ways and innovative ways to approach content development that can cut through the “white noise” and get attention and engagement.

Manage multiple global projects simultaneously and ensure timely and effective delivery


Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, learning design, and technology, communications, educational psychology, or a related field.

• 3+ years experience developing digital learning content or working in training or adult education

• Understanding of how to effectively apply the principles of adult learning and instructional design models to the development of learning content and materials

• Strong project managment, communication, and stakeholder management skills


Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to translate data from feedback to improvements to both content and process

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables under demanding and varied timelines

• Proficiency with design and content tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Vyond

• The ability to produce clear, concise, persuasive, and engaging copy for educational content

• Experience working with large global teams

• A passion for the learner experience and how to make it better
