OVERVIEW

Jenner & Block is seeking several creative, organized, and detail-oriented college students to join us in different roles across the Talent & Strategy Department in our Washington, DC office for the summer of 2025. The internship runs from Tuesday, June 17 - Thursday, August 8 with some possibility of a few additional weeks for select roles.


The Talent & Strategy Departments are umbrella organizations that include several high-performing teams who share the mission of making Jenner & Block a great place for our lawyers to work, grow, and advance in their careers. The Talent & Strategy Departments focus on all aspects of the ‘lawyer lifecycle,’ and interns will be assigned to one of our key teams: Legal Recruiting; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Professional Development; or Management & Special Projects. Interns will be given substantive learning opportunities and an insider’s understanding of how top-performing law firms recruit, retain, and develop our lawyers—while working to strengthen the cultural elements that define the firm.


Interns will gain valuable experience in project management, develop strong professional skills, and learn from, and work alongside, wonderful people who are deeply committed, on a personal and professional level, to investing in others’ career development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to interact professionally with candidates, attorneys, and all levels of firm personnel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Possesses superior organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with viDesktop or other applicant tracking systems.
