BMF is the world leader in micro-precision 3D printing industry. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Scientist with a strong scientific background in cancer biology, a passion for translational research, and a proven track record of research accomplishments. You will be part of an innovative and highly productive team committed to the convergence of cutting-edge 3D printing technology and organ-on-a-chip platforms. We will leverage your expertise to develop organ-on-a-chip platforms for drug discovery and cosmetic testing applications.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop in vitro 3D biological models via organ-on-a-chip approaches.
- Design and execute in vitro experiments to determine effect of drugs using relevant cell biology techniques. Lead the development, optimization, and validation of new assays.
- Apply cell and molecular biology techniques to identify and evaluate biomarkers.
- Be versed in the current state of the science of functional genomics and omic analysis.
- Routinely utilize broad technical expertise in tumor cell biology to advance translational research for pre-clinical stage oncology projects.
- Identify issues and resolve project challenges to advance scientific understanding and best practice.
- Communicate and report project findings, lead the preparation of presentations and the writing of manuscripts.
- Collaborate with other scientists, provide scientific mentorship to guide the junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Tissue Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Translational Medicine, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in Solid Tumor Research & 3D Models: Proven experience in solid tumor cell culture, primary cells, cell lines, 3D tissue models, 3D disease models, assay development, and drug screening.
- Translational Medicine Background: Experience bridging preclinical research with clinical applications, with a strong understanding of translating laboratory findings into therapeutic strategies.
- Pharmacology Knowledge: Solid background in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and bioassays for evaluating drug efficacy.
- Technical Precision: Skilled in in vitro assays (flow cytometry, intracellular staining, cytotoxicity assays, ELISA, gene expression analysis) and primary cell culture, with significant experience in tissue processing.
- Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to identify issues, conduct research, and develop solutions, with experience multitasking in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
