We are seeking a motivated and experienced Field Operations Manager to join our team in Minneapolis, MN.


Job Title: Field Operations Manager

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Local candidates or candidates willing to relocate only)

Employment Type: Direct Hire


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and supervise field technicians and Energy Advisors in conducting direct installations, air sealing, and site assessments.
  • Manage the onboarding and training of new hires using a structured 30-60-90-day plan.
  • Oversee scheduling operations for fieldwork, ensuring efficiency and timeliness in completing air sealing, installations, and assessments.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure field teams are equipped with the necessary tools and products to complete installations.
  • Conduct performance inspections of field personnel to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to field crews as needed.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure all installation work is completed and documented.
  • Collaborate with program management to improve operations and contribute to marketing strategies.
  • Set and track energy savings goals for installation crews and Energy Advisors.


Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of continuous work experience in electric or natural gas utility, facilities management, HVAC design or sales, or energy management.
  • Associate’s degree with 3+ years of related experience.
  • Proven experience managing multiple field crews.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and resolve project issues effectively.


Preferred:

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: building science, weatherization, HVAC, lighting, controls, renewable energy.
  • Familiarity with construction tools and experience in customer service or sales.
  • Experience using Salesforce.


Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • BPI certification is preferred.


Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 80%, including occasional overnight stays.
