Job Description


  • Lead responsibilities in high voltage busbars, HV connectors, fuses, and other tractive battery pack components and systems.
  • Oversee part procurement, build, and testing across various stages of multiple battery programs.
  • Fulfill APQP requirements and complete TKO, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough battery pack teardown inspections and perform root cause analysis for any issues.
  • Manage the completion of DVP&R to authorize the construction of X0 samples using production tools.
  • Execute PPAP and safe launch activities, guaranteeing product reliability and safety.
  • Support final validation processes and assist in all battery build milestones to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers (if applicable) to manage milestones and deliverables effectively.
  • Organize regular supplier meetings to address engineering-related open items, including design reviews, failure analysis, and manufacturing concerns.

Qualifications


  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, establishing a strong foundation in relevant principles.
  • Basic knowledge of HV battery design, demonstrating an understanding of high voltage systems.
  • Proficiency in GD&T, ensuring accurate and consistent engineering documentation.
  • OEM experience with advanced quality tools such as DFMEA and DVPR, ensuring product reliability and safety.
  • Proficient in NX CAD and familiar with Siemens Teamcenter, enabling efficient design and data management.
  • Experience in component release within an OEM or a large Tier 1 company, showcasing project management skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Suite, enhancing project documentation and communication.
  • Specific experience with busbars or other high voltage battery components, highlighting specialized expertise in the field.
