- This is a Quality Control focused Microbiologist
Summary
The Microbiologist II will perform practical laboratory work including method development, validation, and troubleshooting. This role supports quality control (QC) projects, ensures timely testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, and collaborates with the QC chemist to facilitate method technology transfer and project preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing and Documentation
- Perform testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and test methods.
- Record test results and maintain accurate laboratory records in compliance with cGMP, GLP, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Lab Maintenance and SOP Development
- Maintain laboratory equipment and assets according to protocols.
- Draft and revise SOPs as needed.
- Ensure general lab support, including housekeeping, equipment upkeep, and inventory management.
- Method Development and Technical Support
- Evaluate existing analytical methods and develop new ones.
- Conduct method transfer and validation experiments.
- Train lab analysts on methods and provide technical support for production sample analysis.
- Project Support
- Prepare and support QC aspects of production or pilot-scale projects.
- Assist in out-of-specification (OOS) investigations and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Safety and Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure personal safety in the working area.
- Adhere to Safety and Sustainability requirements, report any issues promptly, and stop unsafe work as necessary.
- Additional Tasks
- Perform other laboratory support tasks as assigned.
