SUMMARY


Our client is an agile global aerospace and defense technology innovator, delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers’ mission-critical needs. The company provides advanced defense and commercial technologies across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains.


The Full-Stack Application Software Engineer will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working on large-scale enterprise application systems for Space Domain purposes using web technologies, distributed computation, as well as sophisticated, cloud technologies, frameworks, and cutting-edge domain analytics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of software development and integration team focused on mission-unique software to be developed and integrated with existing and new cutting-edge capabilities.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Perform the development and integration via industry best practices, including Agile methodologies for the government system.
  • Provide mission application and framework development support.
  • Participate in a development team that uses modern DevSecOps software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.
  • Maintain and develop new capabilities to the deployed system, diagnose and resolve issues, and provide support to end-users as needed.
  • The ideal candidate will have the technical talent and desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies.
  • Provide on-the-job mentoring to junior engineers as needed.


REQUIREMENTS


  • MUST have an active Top Secret SCI Security Clearance with consent to Poly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline and a minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. OR a graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience with Java, JEE object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with the Vue.js framework.
  • Experience with Microservices.
  • Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development Process and Methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban).
  • Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to detail complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be a US Citizen and currently possess a Top Secret Security Clearance.


Preferred Additional Skills


  • Experience with Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience with C++, or Python programming languages.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
  • Experience with Front-End web development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML.
  • Experience with unit testing.
  • Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Docker, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
  • Experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs.
