Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Java, Python, AWS Glue, and Apache Spark.
  • Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Work with AWS cloud services to deploy and manage data infrastructure and solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and cloud services.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Java programming.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with data pipeline development tools such as AWS Glue and Apache Spark.
  • 2+ years of experience with ETL tools and processes.
  • 2+ years of experience in AWS cloud services, including but not limited to S3, Lambda, EC2, and Redshift.
  • 2+ years of experience with data modeling and transformation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional AWS services such as DynamoDB, Athena, and Kinesis.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in agile development methodologies.


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
